First install Sun Java 6 JRE or Open JDK 6 Jre
    sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre
then right click the downloaded jar file. and open with Sun Java 6 Runtime.. thats all.
    Never make any misteaks.

GNOME or KDE will open all jar files in archive manager..

but it has to run with Java Runtime Environment...

    thats all..
