    [SOLVED] Alsamixer not working properly

    Using Debian Lenny

My probelem is with alsamixer. I can't record anything; nothing I play back has
any sound. I have alsamixer capture set on mix. I know I recorded
in the past with this setting, so I don't know what is happening. I am
    recording from the internet.

When I adjust the volume on playback in either alsamixer or kmix the
volume settings change on the other as well. when I adjust the
volume setting in capture it doesn't affect each other.

If I have Kmix > inpur > capture enabled I can record, but the playback
doesn't sound good. I would like to figure what is wrong with alsamixer.

    Thanks for help

I didn't have the capture enabled under the capture volume. I needed to
enable it with the space bar.
