    how many times is linus torvalds mentioned in all kernel code related software


    Hi guy, im a newbie and have an exam question im stuck with, how to find out how many times linus torvalds name is mentioned in all kernel code related software?

    please help.

    i guess its to do with the find command or the locate one but i just dont seem to be able to look inside files.

    any ideas guys.



    p.s im really coming round to linux! just a pitty im still clueless

    I thought you said it was for an "exam question"?

    Seriously, the first hit on google for "text processing commands" gives you the answer.
