    Yeah, I'd try if I were you. The kernel build option about the VIA processor does inspire hope.

    Solved

    It works now.

    I recompile the kernel specifying CPU as a VIA.
    With this custom kernel the thin client is now stable running during few days 24/24 without any freeze.

    Briefly :

    I grab the kernel 2.6.26x source package.
    make menuconfig choosing CPU VIA
    make-kpkg ..etc..
    dpkg --install ..etc..
    reboot choosing the custom kernel.
