    what i have to do with this?

    now what i think that is the problem is this msg

    well what command are you trying to run and do you have X running?

    We need a bit more information, such as are you using Woody, Sarge, Unstable? How did you install, Network, CD? When does that message appear, right at boot, when you type startx, when you type KDM?

    also

    as root:

    cat /var/log/XFree86.0.log
    
    and
    
    cat ~/.xsession-errors
    and then paste the last few 10 lines so of each file so we can see if there are any errors.[/code]

    i'm usin woody
    kde installed by network, woody by CD
    that msg appears when i try to open X by startx, and its on the XFree86.0.log too
