I'm trying to set an overall system proxy here but the export http_proxy doesn't seem to work. I'm using the LXDE environment like the title says, I know it works in GNOME. What do you think, dear people?

Also I'd like to know how to set it for all protocols (https, socks, ssl, ftp, gopher).
