Howto Create an install cd from my current Debian Lenny installation
Hi there,
I would like to create an install cd/dvd from my current Debian Lenny installation.
anybody have any tips as how to do this.
I guess this will imply all official debian packages will be saved.
As additional nice to have info would be the following:-
any tips as to how I would capture none standard packages/configurations on the system
i.e. I have additional packages installed
I have a customized Apache and Php configuration i.e. config
files.
Also mysql database is populated forsome applications.

Or
Use PartImage to create an ISO Image of your installation. You can burn it to CD/DVD and install it in other machines like regular installations.
Clonezilla is good utility too.
Both are available in PartedMagic LiveCD/USB.Last edited by devils casper; 09-08-2010 at 12:38 PM. Reason: link updated
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

+1 for CloneZilla. I used it to image a few Windows computers, and it worked great (and fast!). I wanted to try Server Edition to get multicast booting going, but it was overkill for my case.
