fakeroot problem

I am now trying to compile the kernel and everything go smooth until I got here:

the fakeroot function doesn't work for me and I couldn't find a helpfull solution anywhere in google.

I installed fakeroot with apt-get.
I updated before and after to make sure everything is ok.
I changed the code from sid to lenny (if you see my code you will see "lenny" where it is sid in the guide) because my debian is lenny, but had the same problem with sid too.
Please help me fix my problem

I haven't looked at the guide you're using, but the error appears to occur when fakeroot is used whilst already in a fakeroot environment.

Thanks. Already got the same answer from the creator of the video and he also said that since that video kernel developed and the fakeroot is being done automatically so I don't even need to do it.
