Adding GUI to non GUI install
Hi,
I installed Debian without choosing any check boxes, so I didn't get the GUI or anything. Is there a way I can go back and install the GUI without reinstalling the whole installation and losing anything?
Thanks,

You can install a gui using the command line e.g.
That would install the X window system and GNOME.Code:apt-get install x-window-system-core xserver-xorg gnome-desktop-environment

Thank you! The installs are going now, looks like it will take a while but I have time

I would never have figured that, I dunno how you guys know this stuff. I don't think if I used linux as much as I used windows I would still know all this stuff. Frustrates the crap outta me!
Thanks again.
