i have a Canon LBP 2900 Printer installed, and its working with no problems in Debian Lenny.

and i want to buy a Scanner that works in Debian 5.5

so i request to provide a list of all the scanners models that are supported by the Debian.

how to install the driver ?
i am unable to understand it ?

In the majority of cases with linux, you don't need to seek out drivers to install. If it works, it most likely works out of the box. There are some exceptions to this. For that list with SANE, if it's listed as working, then you shouldn't have to do install anything else.
