    [SOLVED] Debian = 4GB+ RAM?

    Hello!

I'v installed i386 debian on my system (Fedora 12 was before) and I encounterd problem!

Because it's dedicated machine I'v got 7GB ram on it, problem was Debian only recognized little less then 4.

Is there any possiblity patch, fix to make it recognize all, or should I install new version of Debian, and what?

I'v searched on internet but only 64bit I can get is amd64 and my processor is
    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40GHz

In theory, you could use a PAE enabled 32bit kernel.
That would enable a maximum memory limit of 64GByte, but still only max 4GByte per process.

But my recomendation is 64bit. The amd64 variant will work on your CPU.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
