    KDE problem

    I have recently installed Debain 3.0 and want to run KDE. It seems to have installed fine but when KDE loads up I get the splash screen and initalize the first two things no problem but when it gets to the 'initalizing peripherls' the screen goes black and I have to re-boot. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing but that doesnt work. Could I be missing a driver for a peripheral? If so how do I find which one? I had previously tried GNOME but that didn't work either, could there be a conflict between the two and if so how do i reslove it?

    Switch to command line and check your logs for any problems.
    ctrl+alt+F1 for command line and check logs on /var/log/
