    Failed to get Global Enables

    Hi,

In the /var/log/messages log I have the following fail:

Dec 13 13:24:50 mailserver kernel: ipmi_si(SI_CHECK_BMC): Failed to get Global Enables 0xc6.

    What does this mean?

It is a HP server...Linux debian etch, kernel 2.6

Forget my last post, has nothing to do with this problem.

Our monitor systems informs us that there was a problem with on of the fans:

Hardware status;WARNING;SOFT;1;WARNING - fan 1 (system) is not ok, fan 3 (system) is not ok, System: 'proliant ml350 g5',

We did a test, when you unplug a fan of this kind of machines, it will reboot instantly.

HP support thinks it is a firmware problem, and will help and visit us to solve this.

Together we are strong, so to say.
