PORTMAP doesn't work for hostames
Hello,
I have an NFS server with their portmap installed. When I configure the PORTMAP with hostnames, the clients can not access their zones but If I configure it useing IPs, they can connect:
hosts.allow :
portmap: pcmatali.upc.es
lockd: pcmatali.upc.es
mountd: pcmatali.upc.es
rquotad: pcmatali.upc.es
statd: pcmatali.upc.es
The dns resolve correctly the IPs and the hostnames.
The NFS error is: mount.nfs: mount to NFS server 'enologa.upc.edu:/home/' failed: RPC Error: Program not registered
I can not use IPs as we use DHCP and I done want to give access to all the IPs of the subnet (just a couple of PCs).
Thanks in advance
Albert
