I Installed CitaDel Web Server on my Lappy And Now....
Basically speaking, Citedel is a web server. It is far superior to Apache and MySQL because it has features in it's suite that you simply can't get in the other versions.
Which brings up my dilemma.
I have a shared hosting account, and at the moment I cannot put webcit on it because it will not run without the citadel server. [I get that in the future I will need to pay a dev to write a version of webcit that can be installed and run on a shared host server without the need to have citadel, but more on that later].
I want the Citadel server because webcit has a superior bulliten board and messaging system and it allows our users to create rooms and content.
What I would like to do is redirect our users to the boards login page and of course it's eventual use.
I created http://webcit.s a .com/ in an effort to have our users go to this url to log in and be redirected to our webcit app on my laptop. Or better yet I'd rather have http://s a .com/webcit so my guys can log in from my shared host. I do not mind setting up a new [second] domain for this purpose on my laptop, I have done this in the past and I have created a www file for this purpose and have added a few directories to begin the process of making this work. [then I suppose we could simply redirect to that second domain ?]
But my knowledge is just not there. I really have no idea how to proceed the right way from here.
I have DreamLinux 4.6.3 Beta and my shared host is Debian. Debian ROCKS!!!
There is a work around for this, I just do not have the knowledge to picture the solution in my head.
Can one of you guys please try to help my set up / programme a solution ? I am truly stuck.
Thank you!, and merry Christmas!
P.S.
If I posted in the wrong spot, PLEASE do not ban me. Just move it and send me pm telling me where to find it.
Note: both OS's are Debian based.
Thank you!
