    Debian Install

im trying to install debian on my intel atom D510mo system. The graphical installer works fine until the end when it wants a reboot. It starts to load linux until it goes to show the desktop and all i get is a black screen and the mointer turns off line theres no video signal.

Could this be that this isnt supported or how do i go about sorting this. A bios upgrade maybe ?

and how do i do this upgrade via linux

Video driver problem. You'll probably need to install the proper driver while booted from the liveCD. If you google your video card manufacturer and Linux, you may get more detailed information.

yes i tried terminal only and that has no problems at all. it just seems to be loading the gui, if i go to the terminal and type in startx it goes to loads and then then screen goes blank.

If you can boot to a console, use that to install the proper video driver. I have no clue which one that might be, since I don't know the manufacturer of your video card. Google is your friend.
