    Debian no internet access

I'm using debian lenny. When I boot with kernel 2.6.36, ping always respond with Network is Unreachable. But when I boot with kernel 2.6.26 it works. I can't even ping the dafault router of 2.6.26 kernel when I am at 2.6.36. Also, system/administration/network does not show any connections while it shows something at the other kernel. Can anybody help me?

If you want to use the much newer kernel, I think you will need to upgrade to Squeeze, at least. I think you will need to upgrade several packages to get everything to work correctly. You could try installing the liquorix kernel, which has tweaks and seems to work for more systems, but there are some reports of wireless not working with some of those kernels, too. Lenny is getting very long in the tooth, and Squeeze will become the new stable version very soon.
