why do you think you need to install these anyway? do you have a piece of hardware that isn't functioning correctly?

almost all drivers for hardware are included in the kernel already and require you to do nothing, the exception mostly being for graphics cards/chips

Well, for some Windows drivers, mainly wireless that I have seen, ndiswrapper can help. In Ubuntu, going to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers may be of use.

Failing those, I think your only solution is to follow the same steps that you would take to get a PlayStation 3 game running under Windows (hope a native version is available)

What happens if you just plug the device in?

The one time I used ndiswrapper because I was running a live persistent usb. I uploaded a text file from my terminal to show how I did it. Should be the same for Ubuntu.

look, you won't know that you "need" to use some drivers until you plug the device in, so I suggest you try that first and then come back

you can't just install a windows driver in linux, they are completely different OS, they aren't designed to be interoperable at that level

nearly all drivers are included already in the kernel that 99% of users need, in the rare case that you need a driver from outside it is due to strange/custom hardware or extremely new hardware that isn't supported yet by kernel
