server does not get ip-address
Hi!
I am trying to setup a debian server for a new website.
My ISP provides me 4 public IP-adresses (not static).
I have a modem-router where I have disabled the NAT so that I can get those public IP-addresses. The router has 4 ports and when I connect my laptop with windows OS it gets a public IP-address. But when I connect my debian linux server it does not get the IP-Address. Everything works perfect when I assign a LAN ip-address to the server but it refuses to get a public IP-address.
Is there any way to get my server obtain a public IP-address?
Thank you!
