Debian 6/KDE 4.5.x - title bars missing, using Compiz Fusion?
Hey folks: Recently I installed Debian 6 and KDE 4.x and found the beauty of the compiz fusion cube. But there's a problem. The title bars (like showing here on the other computer's Firefox which reads "linux forums - post new thread -mozilla firefox) doesn't exist. There's no minimize, or maximize, or any of those buttons.
I found something about it on another page that reads:

I think that's it - when I run kwin --replace the titlebars/border
reappear. (I want to run the default window manager, not Compiz Fusion).
How do I configure kwin to start automatically?
Thanks for help - Gus

That work around solves the problem. But the problem is, it turns off the cube. So is there anyway of having the cube and eating the title bar?

Something I have found that works is using the CCSM (Compiz Configuration Setting Manager), and enabling the Gnome compatibility. It allows me to use Compiz with the cube and KDE 4.xx. From what I understand, Compiz and KDE are not fully integrated/compatible yet. You would also have to be using Compiz as your default manager. Hope that helps.

This might be an idiot post with me being the idiot. I have the same problem on certain windows. What I found is that the title bar is actually there, click right above the left top edge and see if your additional features appear.
LXDE also has an iconify (minimize) function on the menu (like Windows desktop) button. When I iconify and the maximize the menu appears.
Basically, what I am saying is that it could actually be there but using a different color scheme. I have yet to find the correct scheme, I just click where it should be.
