    Grub and then boot manager

    Hello

So installed 6.0 on my system but i am having a small problem now. Debian works fine and when i boot up the computer grubs starts and lets me choose between Debian or windows 7 loader. If i choose win7 loader then the windows boot manager makes me choose between starting win7 or continuing with the installation. So i guess i must have messed up at some point, perhaps when i aborted the installation half way through the first time

Also i'm not sure if this is something i need to fix within windows or within Debian. Any help would be great

    Thanks in advanced

Could you clarify the behavior of the Windows 7 boot loader? I'm confused--are you saying one of the options is to continue installing Windows? if so, I'd imagine that's a problem with the Windows boot loader. It would be great if you could provide more information about the scenario.

    The following would be helpful:

What's your hard drive/partition setup? (Is Windows on a separate drive than Debian or just a separate partition?) etc.. Oh, and if they are on separate drives, which drive is the first in the chain (what SATA slots is each plugged into?)

Your grub.cfg file could be useful as well, if there is any issue with the Grub side of things, although I doubt that's the case. (/boot/grub/grub.cfg)

There was something else I was going to ask as well, but it's late and I'm falling asleep. Good luck--I'll try to check back tomorrow.

Have you installed Debian inside Windows OS? Are you using Virtual Machine or Wubi?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Yeah, removing Windows really is the best solution.
