Video cards - which would you recommend?

I'm needing to replace my nVIDIA 7300 GS card for a non-nividia card to work in Debian 5 or 6. I just need a low cost one, that can power 2 monitors, and offer enough power to run KDE 4.x (what ever Debian 6 has), and the Beryl cube.

My netbook has some sort of intel card on it, and does just fine with the speces I listed above but of course a netbook card, and a desktop card is two completely different beasts.

Oh also is it possible to get a card that works right out of the box with Debian 6? I just installed D6, and the cube was waiting for me to turn it on.

I find that the ATI 4000-5000 series has nice support under GNU/Linux, at a decent price and reasonable power. I have a 5400 model. The higher the third digit (so the 4 in 5400) the "faster" that card is compared to others in its generation.
