    creating an image from a live cd?

    I'm running systemrescuecd in Virtualbox. I made some changes in grub(changed splash screen) now my question is how do i make a new image that will be bootable and with the changes i made?

    is there a better way of doing this?

    I'm not sure what you are trying to do. SystemRescueCD boots with isolinux. Did you change the splash image in its /boot/grub/grub.conf file?

    trying to change the grub splash screen and then recreate the .iso so when i boot i see my grub splash screen

    Your post is under Debian. You are talking about using SystemRescueCD in VirtualBox.
    On what do you want to change the Grub splashimage, Debian? You don't need to use systemrescuecd for that, it doesn't boot with grub and you would have to do more modifications to get it to boot grub. If you are trying to change the splash image on Debian, yes it is simpler than that. I don't have Debian installed but here's a link to changing splashimages on Grub2/Ubuntu which should be the same. If that's what you want, you weren't clear about that!

    Alright lets start fresh since people are getting confused i probably was not clear

    Lets say i have debian installed on my system. i have modified it like changed desktop and now what i want to do is make a live cd out of it. Is it possible?
