    Start/stop/restart events logging

    Hi,

where are start/stop/restart events logged to. I am running PSAD and the process keeps stopping somehow. I want to know why. Where can I look for reasons, and also find out when a process started from /etc/init.d stopped?

    Running Debian Lenny. Thanks!

You should see the activity related to the services starting/restarting in the syslog file. It will not explicitly state that it's restarting, however, you will see it reinitialize.
