    Eee Pc Wireless not working, RT3090

    Hello ^.^
    First post so please be kind.
    I have had trouble with using the wireless function on my eee pc 1015pe.
    I have read many articles on installing drivers etc... but either don’t know how to follow the instructions or have not had any success with the suggestions.

    The wireless device is enabled (according to the BIOS),
    I am using a Relink RT3090 wireless card.

    Thank you for any assistance you can offer.

    I believe you need the firmware installed and you should be good to go. Also, I think you can find it here, copy it to /lib/firmware and things should work.

    This will seem like a really silly question but now I have the file what do I do with it? Literally just copy it to the /lib/firmware folder?

    Yes, as far as I can tell, you just copy the .bin file to /lib/firmware. You might need to reboot for this to take effect.
