Post Virtual BOX USB Tab not available

    Hi friends

Just installed Virtualbox OSE from software center of Debian squeeze, & there is no USB tab available in the settings option. also iam not able to install virtualbox 4 due to error (conflict with already installed virtula ose) and virtualbox OSE is not getting removed completely.

how to install the latest version & get the usb option working coz its not there in the settings (general, system, display, storage, audio.serial ports, network & shared folders are available but not USB).

    Thanks...

Not sure what you're doing to install VBox 4, or if its the OSE or PUEL version. The Debian repos have the OSE versions... Squeeze repo has VBox 3.2 and Wheezy repo has VBox 4.0. You'll need to unload the kernel module then purge or completely remove the old VBox and guestaddition, before installing the new.

For USB access, you'll need the PUEL version of VBox from the Oracle repo. Add the repo's URL to /etc/apt/sources.list, then update the pkg list to see it in the pkg manager.
