    update-rc.d Command Not Found

    Hi
    i have a basic debian system installed ( From business card CD with just terminal interface ) and the command update-rc.d is missing.

    Not at all sure what you have installed, HD or otherwise - we try to be more specific, else you will not get a response.

    That said, I have this problem when I use my LXDE terminal. You are probable KDE but I am sure the same applies. Basically, it could be the same as saying you need root privileges. In which case I use my root terminal. or you can put "sudo" (superuser do) before the command if you have a superuser password established for your user name.

    The command may not be missing. Just that you have inadequate privileges.
