Hey guys. I think this post is in the right place...

I am trying to set up a thin Debian client and it appears to be working but I am not sure.

I am using a folder from my server machine as the clients root as the thin client (as the name suggests) has no hard drive.

During boot up it gets to the point where it is loading the kernel and then the output is as follows...

Code:
Begin: Mounting root file system... ...
Begin: Running /scripts/nfs-top ...
Done.
and then nothing except a blinking underscore... I can type stuff but It doesn't appear to be a bash/shell/command prompt and nothing I type will do anything...

So I want to know if this is working? I followed a guide ( (http) ://wiki.linuxquestions (dot) org/wiki/Diskless_Workstation) to get this far but it doesn't say anything about what to expect at the end of a successful boot -_-

Is this as expected? If so is there a way for me to get a bash on screen?

Kind regards.
