dovecot and postfix config?

I am trying to set the postfix folder for mail into dovecot but since I chose virtual mailbox for postfix:
virtual_mailbox_domains = example.com
virtual_mailbox_base = /var/mail/vhosts

I am not sure how to enter that into the dovecot.conf?
mail_location = /var/mail/vhosts

Any help or tutorial link would be appreciated.
