Thermal Issues - ClamTK - Debian/Stable
Something odd just happened.... I was leaving the house for awhile and decided to do a recursive scan on my file tree (everything) - using ClamTK.
I got 4 hits. Two are folders, my inbox and another manually created mail folder - Icedove.
1 file was clamtk/bug.
1 file - a .pdf I downloaded.
The message (virus) for all four indicated heuristics encrypted file.
I always felt that my fan was running too often, but I do not have heat issues so I overlooked it.
After quarantining the only two files that I could, assuming the folders are false positives....
The odd thing is that my temperature dropped 5 degrees, and my fan - I thought it stopped altogether, but of course laptop fans have speed settings - I had to listen real close to tell it was running at all.
(90,000 files scanned in 150 minutes)
