Not sure what happened but when i use ctrl-alt-f3 to get into bash all I get is this scrolling of messages that reads " hub 1-0..... over-current charge on port ...

    bash scrolling messages in root

    Not sure what happened but when i use ctrl-alt-f3 to get into bash all I get is this scrolling of messages that reads " hub 1-0..... over-current charge on port ( 5 & 6). However when I go thru app/sys/terminal and log in as root there isnt any problem.

    Okay...guess I should have put my reading glasses on to read the finer print..it was change....could that be caused by a power supply problem?

    It could be caused by a faulty PSU, or it could be faulty USB devices. Try removing devices and see if that resolves it, if it does, add them back one by one until you can reproduce it.

    Devices that often cause this are external USB hubs or those drive bay mounted SSD card reader things. They often draw too much power. In the case of external USB hubs, it's a good idea to plug in their external power supply rather than running them from the system's USB power.
