Debian randomly booted up into 640x480
I wish I could elaborate on the title more, but I can't, I'm just baffled why it would do this.
I just booted up my computer this morning and the resolution is at 640x480. I can barely click anything, the buttons are so squished together.
It was just fine last night. I had everything set up and configured the way I wanted, it was perfect. Now everything is all smushed together.
I'm running a linux mint liveCD right now, since I can't do anything with how smushed together everything is. Any Idea's?

Hello
I've not ever tried the Mint LiveCD, but it probably gives you the option to change some of the various kernel boot parameters. Look for the option to change some of those just as the disk begins to spin up, before the disk has fully booted. Try experimenting with some of the graphics options. Maybe some Mint users will chime in with some other ideas that you could try.oz

how would I change the kernel boot parameters? I also have liveCD's for Ubuntu (version 9 i think), Xubuntu, PCLinuxOS, and Puppy Linux. In addition to a flash drive to which I could possible install another bootCD/DVD. Use to have a Knoppix liveDVD, but I don't know where it got to

Here's a HowTo showing how to do it with Ubuntu, and other distros generally allow similar options:
