I am looking at setting up some type of load balancing Proxy servers so that if one goes down client computers will be unaffected and also so the load is balanced over two servers. Currently I have two squid servers’ setup but not really doing much with them I want to test them out and test load balancing before going live. I came across LVS which looks promising but I haven’t found a good how to that explains how to install and configure it for Debian. If anyone has suggestions for other solutions I am open to that also. I plan to point the client computers towards the squid proxy cluster.
