Where to find 3d accelerator for game Zaz, using Debian Xfce4 OS?

Am having trouble finding to install a 3D accelerator suggested for use by Zaz, an older but fast paced match 3 fun game. (Great reflex game for improving my 'mouse' movement issues; and keeping Alzheimer's away from my sexagenarian door. Yah, 60s, shhh!)
Anywho, anyone know what "3D" file is needed to complete the Zaz game? ..and or know how to close a game when the 'close' option refuses to work? Double dilemma with that one, yes?

A 3D accelerator is hardware, not software. Nowadays most modern graphics chips have some from of 3D acceleration built in, drivers are needed to enable this. In order to help you out to install the necessary packages, open a terminal and post up some outputs here:

    Code:
    lspci | grep -i vga
    Code:
    glxinfo | grep render
    Code:
    egrep '(EE|WW)' /var/log/Xorg.0.log
    Code:
    cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Wow, that was fast; thank you "caravel." However, being the 'newbie dolt I am,' Am unsure about your commands above. My friend who installed my system to whom I'l refer to as "the Wiz," is unavailable or else this issue would be solved ...by him ..using the console. I'm reluctant but have had commands work in the past; I just don't know how to begin the dance. I'm a retired choreographer whose years on 'stage' boards tapped every step out using 1-8 count movements. Before I even try to execute your advice, all I know is that I'm a "sudo" user on my system and must sign into the console as such.

Now then, am I to enter the code lspci | grep -i vga ...hit enter and immediately enter the next ...glxinfo | grep render... and so on and on until all four suggested codes above have been entered? Please forgive my lack of knowledge; am desperately trying to eliminate 'windows' from my lexicon and already know the answer to that is learning the 'steps' to use a Linux OS. But the dance, is soooo complicated. A hint in the right direction regarding proper use of code in the terminal would be most welcome, as well.

    Hello there!

The best way to handle the commands is to take them one at a time.
For example, on my machine, the first command, lspci | grep -i vga, gives this:
    Code:
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
You can copy/paste the output into any editor program that you might use for taking notes... I use MousePad. Others would be Gedit, Kate or Leafpad.
Then, do the second command, and paste that, as well.
When you have all of it together, post back here with the information.

Thank you Jay. That first code worked like yours except mine gave me the following:
After entering lspci | grep -i vga
I was given... 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01)
However, glxinfo | grep render ...gave me
    bash: glxinfo: command not found

Hence, I stopped there. What do you suggest to do next??? Am grateful btw for your prompt response to my query. Much appreciated. Now then...???

I've not run Debian, so it's gonna be one of two things.
Some programs need more specific commands. So try this first:
    Code:
    /sbin/glxinfo | grep render
If it's still not found, we can fix that by installing the utilities package that allows it.
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install mesa-utils
After that, glxinfo should work nicely.

By the way, none of the commands given by caravel make any changes at all to your system... only gather information.
So you can use them without fear of anything going wrong.

My Debian supported Xfce4 - 3D issue may be solved

Thanks to you "Jay512," your acute as well as humoristically astute response worked, eventually. The "sbin" etc. code from above didn't work; was told "bash: /sbin/glxinfo: No such file or directory" but after entering the next code you suggested "sudo apt-get install mesa-utils," blessed be, I immediately rec'd this:

Get:2 Index of /debian (both had urls to Debian pages which I've deleted.

Sooooo long a response but have my toes crossed that it works. Thank you for your much appreciated input Jay; well done. Now for the proof of it all working as expected, yes? Methinks that this may be solved but I'll come back to close the thread once I find my game downloads and plays as it should. Thanks again. Have a grand week.

Hey, wanted to thank everyone who helped; yes, my dilemma has been solved. And what gorgeous graphics I'm now seeing. Have a Merry one everybody. Love is always!

    Glad to hear it!
As far as marking it 'Solved', that feature is on a buglist with the Forum Software.
I'd suggest waiting a day or two, just to be certain. If all is well, though, we can get it marked for you.

Thank you for your swift reply. However, I do have an issue. Now my mouse is sluggish when trying to manipulate the slider in the Zaz game. But the graphics are terrific, everything runs smoothly but my digital mouse refuses to quickly manipulate the cursor. Sheesh, always something, yes? I now know your advice on the 'solved' issue was a well informed one. Thanks again. Any ideas how to get my mouse to move its ...tail? hehe shhh!

You're not finished, you need to run the rest of the commands in my post and post all of the outputs. Now that you've installed mesa-utils, the glxinfo command should now produce some output.
