    parted: not found

Hi everyone, I try to install Debian in a powerpc PowerBook G4 12. Since the CD drive has died, I booted a netinstall image into the USB key. I sucessfully booted with it and I choose in the install options "Execute a shell". When I run "parted" the reply was always "parted: not found", even adding "parted /dev/sda".
This issue occured also in an xubuntu installer.
I use a wired internet conection.
Anyone have an idea of the problems?

Instead of parted, have you tried using gparted?
Then again, being a netinstall image, you may just need to use CLI partitioning tools, like fdisk and mkfs.
