    How to set Ethernet transmission speed


    I am using Busybox distribution over embedded target. Now I need to decrease the transmission speed of the ethernet to 10mbps.

    Remember, there is no ethtool available over the distribution.

    How can I do this?

    This is called bandwidth throttling. Here is an Ubuntu article that may provide some insights: Use bandwidth shapers (wondershaper or trickle) to limit internet connection speed*|*Ubuntu Geek
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
