Webcam software?
Does anyone know if there is a webcam software (like webcamXP), but for Linux (Debian)?
I need to have a program (with GUI), where I can add and manage multiple USB cameras, and be able to upload images via FTP.

Zoneminder is another program that can do what you want and is run through a web browser. Motion is command line only. Zoneminder has a lot of options so you should be able to do pretty much anything you need. I would suggest you install it from the package manager of whichever distribution of Linux you are using. If it's not there, you will need to read the documentation so you get it installed and set up correctly. The best thing to do would be to google installing zoneminder on ??(whichever Linux distro you have)

I'm gonna take a look at Zoneminder. Thanks!
EDIT:
I just want to be able to take/grabb images from 2 or more webcams, and show them on a website.
I don't think that i need Zoneminder for that, but thanks anyway.
Have tried both Motion and Debians Webcam, but i can't get it to work with more then just 2 webcams.Last edited by Guldstrand; 09-05-2012 at 06:58 PM.

Edit: http://www.lavrsen.dk/foswiki/bin/vi...e_Config_Files
Motion is made to work with more than one camera in a very elegant way and the way to do it is to create a number of thread config files. Motion will then create an extra tread of itself for each camera. If you only have one camera you only need the motion.conf file. The minute you have two or more cameras you must have one thread config file per camera besides the motion.conf file.Last edited by rokytnji; 09-06-2012 at 03:58 PM.
