Talking [Linux Noob] Need help deleting a partition in Debian.

Ok, so currently, since I want to reinstall Windows just to transform my laptop to a Media Player slave, I'm trying to delete the Debian partition on my hard drive. What I'm doing right now is basically following the guide on the Windows forums/nixCraft to delete the partition. I used the commands but ended up with the output: "No partition is defined yet." When I use the input: "d". Just "d". But what the guide is saying is that it should be asking me WHAT I want to delete. Thx in advance.

    Hi,

If you are just trying to reinstall Windows, you can simply let the Windows installer do it for you. It will delete the partitions you select, allow you to create new ones and format them for use with Windows.

Incidentally, you can go the other way too (Linux will happily nuke Windows partitions during installation).
