    Permission errors with samba share in Debian Wheezy

    I'm having some troubles with samba share on Debian Wheezy. I'm trying to share a folder on my file server that will contain setting files for XBMC that i'll share to my XBMC clients.

    Fileserver: (/etc/samba/smb.conf)
            comment = XBMC settings folder
            valid users = xbmcusr
            valid groups = shared
            path = /home/holmen/.xbmc/
            browseable = yes
            read only = no
            guest ok = no
            create mask = 0660
            directory mask = 0770
    Now when trying to mount and access this share on a HTPC client i've got permission errors.
    sudo mount.cifs // /mnt/.xbmc/ -o user=xbmcusr,pass='<xbmcusrs linuxpassword>'
    ls -Al /mnt/.xbmc/
    ls: cannot open directory /mnt/.xbmc/: Permission denied
    Ls and permission check:
    ls -Al / | grep mnt
    drwxr-xr-x   3 xbmcusr shared  4096 Jul 24 13:39 mnt
    ls -Al /mnt | grep xbmc
    drwxrwx--- 3 1002 1003 0 Jul 24 13:03 .xbmc
    ls -Al /mnt/.xbmc
    ls: cannot open directory /mnt/.xbmc: Permission denied
    What am i doing wrong?

    I solved this with mount option credentials and no '' around the password.
