Question how to get wvdial to connect with my modem

    Hi,

I'm trying to get my Huawei Modem EM680 connected.
Dmesg shows it's a valid modem and a serial link gets created when I plug it in:
    Code:
usb 1-1: New USB device found, idVendor=12d1, idProduct=14f1
    usb 1-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=3, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
    usb 1-1: Product: Huawei EM680 w/Gobi Technology
    usb 1-1: Manufacturer: HUAWEI Incorporated
qcserial 1-1:1.1: Qualcomm USB modem converter detected
usb 1-1: Qualcomm USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB0
qcserial 1-1:1.2: Qualcomm USB modem converter detected
usb 1-1: Qualcomm USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB1
qcserial 1-1:1.3: Qualcomm USB modem converter detected
usb 1-1: Qualcomm USB modem converter now attached to ttyUSB2
But wvdialconf is not able to find it:

    Code:
    # wvdialconf
    Editing `/etc/wvdial.conf'.

Sorry, no modem was detected! Is it in use by another program?
Did you configure it properly with setserial?

Please read the FAQ at http://alumnit.ca/wiki/?WvDial
Why not, what may be wrong here?

Thank you for hints, tips or suggestions!
