    How to block USB


    Hi all,

    How to block USB(storage devices only) in UBUNTU 12.04 but It should allow Data Card for the Internet access ??

    Is there any way to do this ??

    You want the system to ignore usb storage devices but allow data card device?

    Many systems these days have automount magic, so you would need to disable that, and/or remove the appropriate /etc/fstab entries. Maybe also stop the usb-storage module from loading.

    Hi Miven,

    Yes I want that for a user, any USB storage device should be blocked but I have to give them USB modem access for Inertnet.

    Do you by any chance use your mobile phone as the modem?
