Screen Resolutions unavailable on Compaq EVO D510C

I'm using a Sarge release for the i386 via netinstall.

    It's on a Compaq EVO D510C

    # Intel(R) 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller
    # Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller
    # Intel(R) 82915G Express Chipset Family

I need something compatible with those graphics controllers.

After googling those seperate controllers, I found varied responses. Some say that the Xfree86 in my release of Debian should be compatible with those controllers, others say they have problems.

    Some recommended doing a dpkg-reconfigure -plow xserver-xfree86

I went through that, selecting the i810 as my controller, and no deal.

    Any ideas?

To make sure... your problem is that you arent getting the screen resolution you want... Right?

If so, can you please post you actual Screen Name/Model
    Video card # Intel(are) 82865G Graphics Controller
and the ouput of your XF86Config File "/etc/X11/" please remove all #commented lines also give us the resolution your looking for[/code]
