    /dev/ttyUSB0 with minicom

I have a Prolific-based USB > serial converter and it is recognized as per dmesg:

    Code:
    [1223052.697503] usb 1-2: pl2303 converter now attached to ttyUSB0
I can open minicom and it will receive data coming in on ttyUSB0 just fine. However, I can get any outgoing data out.

    What am I doing wrong?

What you did wrong is doing nothing. Or at least hiding it.

    Did you try https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...u-10-10-maveri ?

since you can read from it but cant write to it, did you think to check the permissions on /dev/ttyusb0? Because if its owned by root, and is 744/745 (rwxr--r-- or rwxr-xr-x), you obviously lack write permissions. either grant them or run minicom as root (which is stupid)
