i really don't know where to look for the morphix password. i'm using the version which runs from the CD, as opposed to the installed one.

The password to su to root? Just su. I believe there is no password...

This password issue
I have tried all the above and more and can't get synaptic to run. It promps for root password which I have changed in a terminal with no problem and I get "failed to run /usr/sbin/synaptic as user root" error. It also says "failed to fork new process: Permission denied" Like I said I tried everthing I know to get this to work to know avail. Any help would be cool. Thanks Craig
