SBC DSL Install Help for Newbie

I'm running Mepis, a Debian based distro, as my first step in migrating away from Windows and running Linux full time. I'm on dial up right now, but want to set up a DSL account through my local provider SBC. SBC, however, does not support Linux, and will be no help in getting my Linux machine set up with a DSL connection.

Does anyone know a of good How To's for setting up DSL on Linux that a Noob could easily follow?

    Thanks!

ok so i use sbc dsl with mandrake/fedora. yes sbc dsl works with linux.

if not detected automatically, then you can use the frindly control panel to configure it. u will be prompted for sbc urs name/password, and it's as easy as that.
