i need help on backingup packages from an internet site

    hi

i need to know how to get packages (using windows xp) for debian from an internet site so that i can put these packages on a CD, i work in company that make servers for caching the internet, and when we make these servers using Debian we add an internet site in the APT configration menu (somthing called resourcelist), and after logging the Debian OS we use the command (apt-get) to download these packages and this process is very slow . So we want to know if there is a way to keep these files in a CD so we can install these packages faster .

note: When i try to get into the site that contains the packages, the site show nothing but white blank page.

    any one can help??
    thanks in advance

Are you downloading the same packages, just updates to them? Because if so, you should investigate rsync, which downloads only the changes in files, not the whole thing.

    they are new

these packages turns the debian into cache engine, and even remove it's kernel and replace it with a new one for the cache engine.
also i want to tell that i am not so familier with linux, i am just new.

    thanks

Let's say you have a bunch of files, and let's call that group of files group A. Are you going to be just downloading updates to the files in group A, or are you going to be downloading new files each time?

    ok i think both

well, i think most of the packages are not in the debian cd, they are all new, but i think some of them are updates because we use the command (apt-get remove exim or something like that) also the kernel will be removed with a new one which is specifically for the cache engine.
is there a way to just download these packages using windows so i can burn them to a CD ??

Nevermind. I was thinking something else.
Apt-get is the way to go for debian, imho
