    how to install tv card

i have installed knoppmyth which uses Debian as the os and installs mythtv

the software installed fine but my tv card didn't install properly. i have the ati tv wonder pro card with the cx88 chipset. i checked the dmesg and found the card listed as autodetected but the tv card doesn't work in mythtv, it just goes to a black screen when i try to watch tv and locks up

i found some cx88 drivers but im not sure how to install them.

any help would be greatly appreciated

i know that knoppix has a tv card config. i dont know if u can do anything with that info but maybe u can run a knoppix live cd and see if ur tv card runs under that.
just something to think abouit from someone that knows nothing...

according to everything i have read you have to install the cx88 drivers from here - http://linux.bytesex.org/v4l2/cx88.html

but, i know very little about kernel patching or driver installation

    thanks for the reply,

    any more guidance?
