I'm having a problem with my newly-installed debian server at work, though I had the same problem with my fedora server that it replaced, so it's probably not debian specific.

I'm trying to share out install files for MS office so we can install our pc's at work over the network and not scratch up our CD's. However, no matter what I do, running the setup off the samba share gives me an error "Setup cannot continue. The source is corrupted."

I've tried copying the files from a (known good) CD to the share, and I've also tried creating an ISO of the disc and mounting it to a folder. I get the same error both times.

I know we've had no trouble putting the files on a windows server, so I'm wondering if this is some special sauce that MS has put on their install to make sure you aren't using a linux box to share the files, or if I'm just screwing something up. Anyone out there successfully sharing office install files on a linux samba share?
