Virus scanners...
ok, i need a virus scanner, that detects virus automatically, is free, reliable, and could detect both windows and linux virus'...
Its more of a prevention thing, i hate being blamed for downloading virus... (even thought its not me, its because me family dont know anything about computers), and i dont want to be blamed any more... and thats me life story...GAH!!!

Won't find much linux viruses though
. But with the 'install applications' functionality of Knoppix, you can install F-prot, update the virus defs, and scan
. And of course, ClamAV is quite handy too.

ClamAV has a cool on-line virus scanner (you upload a file which you think might be a virus or worm and it scans it). Check it out:

thank-you very much people... um, so does this F-Prot thing have prevention type of thing, you know when you accidently get a file full of virus off the net it tell you and gets rid of it the virus thing... i know me thingy words are very techniqual... like norton does?
