ok, i know how to use apt-get... and that...

i live in aussy land, and would like non free sources, and would like to use http...

weird, i can't find apt-setup either...
well sorry, it was a long time ago since i needed it.
i can give you a list of debian mirrors, but i can't find any australian http mirror.
ftp://ftp.au.debian.org/debian/README.mirrors.html
example:I can give yout the Belgian http mirrors if you want themCode:deb ftp://ftp.at.debian.org/debian unstable main contrib non-free
(pretty fast connections, +/- 420kB/s )

Yeah, they always say to use nearby mirrors but I've often found mirrors that were overseas to be faster than my local mirrors. I usually experiment with mirrors from various locations then stick with the fastest ones, regardless of location.
